Personal Mission Statement

What to say!!!
Presently, we are being taught on a course called "Leadership", which is essential for a person in his career. In today's session, we were asked to write "Personal Mission Statement" and one of my friend-"Sriram Rajagopalan" came up with the following:

"I wish to be the best possible son to my parents, an adorable husband, as good a father to my children as my father has been to me and a trustworthy friend. I wish to be remembered as someone who recognised the importance of individual respect and whose presence always made his family and friends happy. I wish to use my profession as a means to ensuring my personal happiness."

The professor and the entire class appluaded. When we were all thinking in terms of goals and objectives in careers, this came as a complete shock to us.

Time for us to do some self-introspection :-)

Powerful Statment

One of friend liked the below lines and I thought let me post it here...
I am writing this as her statement - "Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, "She doesn't have what it takes"; rather they will say, "Woman don't have what it takes".

Trust me she is not a feminist though. The words might be stronger!!!
No further discussions.. I am stopping it here :-)
